FLORHAM PARK, N.J. – The Atlantic Youth Hockey League announced today that Elite Hockey AAA has been approved to begin play in the AYHL beginning with the 2016-17 season.

Elite Hockey AAA aims to provide a strong platform for player development by crafting a competitive, skill-focused and team-oriented environment for its players. The program will be geared towards serious student-athletes who understand that academics and athletics go hand-in-hand.

“Elite Hockey AAA is excited to be a part of the Atlantic Youth Hockey League,” commented program director Peter Alden. “The AYHL sets itself apart from other leagues in the country with strong leadership, innovation, and elite competition from squirts through midgets.”

Elite Hockey AAA is aiming to have an innovative and complete development model from the 2007 birth year through midgets, including the newly approved 15 Pure pilot program. Elite Hockey is fully compliant with USA Hockey and excited about joining the most competitive AAA on the East Coast.

“It is important for the Elite Hockey AAA players to continue to grow and develop in the most competitive AAA playing environment,” Alden added.

“We are excited for the opportunity to have Elite Hockey AAA join the AYHL,” commented AYHL Commissioner Gene Palecco. “Peter has a proven track record of success and we looking forward to having his new venture in our fold.”
