Jr. Flyers to serve as site host for 2018 Tier I Nationals

COLORADO SPRINGS, CO – The Atlantic Youth Hockey League is pleased to announce that the Philadelphia Junior Flyers will be one of 10 site hosts for the 2018 USA Hockey National Championships, USA Hockey announced Monday.

The Jr. Flyers will host the prestigious Midget 16U and 18U championships, April 5-9, 2018. 

“We are extremely honored and excited about being selected to host the 16U and 18U Tier I nationals in 2018,” said Jr. Flyers President John Graves. “With the help of the Atlantic District and the AYHL, we hope to make it a memorable experience for the players, coaches, and families.”

The Atlantic District will also host the 16U Tier II National Championship in Wayne, New Jersey. Three site hosts (Sled, Adult Rec Men and Adult Rec Women) will be announced at a later date.

The Atlantic Youth Hockey League is the USA Hockey-sanctioned Tier I AAA youth hockey league of the Atlantic District. From Connecticut to Maryland, the AYHL’s membership is comprised of over 100 teams, representing four districts, and is spread across six playing divisions. The AYHL’s mission is to develop young players with competition, fun, and good sportsmanship, and move them on to the next phase of their hockey career. With a distinguished alumni list of players that spent a portion of their playing career in the AYHL, today’s players choose to play in the AYHL knowing that it is a proven stepping stone for those serious in their hockey pursuits.
