FLORHAM PARK, NJ – The Atlantic Metropolitan Hockey League is saddened to announce the passing of Elaine Foster, who passed away in her sleep on October 26. Mrs. Foster was the wife of longtime AMHL commissioner, Richard “Dick” Foster, for whom the North American 3 Atlantic Hockey League’s Foster Cup is named.
“Elaine was a first class person and will be missed by those she touched,” said AMHL President Gene Palecco. “She was an amazing woman that always brightened the room with her warm personality and affectionate smile.”
“Elaine walked through life side by side with her husband as he tirelessly dedicated his life to the game of hockey,” Palecco continued. “We are thankful that we will always have the memories as a lasting legacy. Our thoughts and prayers are with the entire Foster family and with all of Elaine’s close friends.”
Services for Mrs. Foster will be held at Barnegat Funeral Home in Barnegat, New Jersey. Visitation will be Friday, October 28, 2016 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with a Blessing Service to immediately follow. Click here for more information.
