SEWELL, N.J. – With just one division across the age level, the 13-Only competition is at one of its highest points this season. The top three teams are currently tied for points with only one loss separating each of them in terms of win percentage.
At the halfway point through the regular season, the division is lining up for an exciting playoff weekend in March. This upcoming weekend, there are not any powerhouse matchups that present the opportunity to flip the standings around, but there are some important games that will make teams at the top of the rankings pushing for consistency to stay in the lead.
The Philadelphia Junior Flyers are currently the top team by win percentage, but do not have a league game this weekend. Neither do the New Jersey Jr. Titans who are in second and do not take the ice again for league play until January.
The North Jersey Avalanche are narrowly in third and will face off against Philadelphia Hockey Club on Sunday afternoon. Provided they remain consistent, the Avalanche should come out on top but that still will not be enough to catapult them ahead of the Jr. Titans. Conversely, the Avalanche could fall a spot after this weekend if the Washington Little Capitals squeeze out two wins against Elite Hockey Academy.
